LOCAL SEO

OCTOBER 2026

Local SEO and Google Maps.

When people search “near me”, only a handful of businesses stand out on the map. In local SEO, we set up your Google Business Profile with the right categories, services and photos, make your address and phone details consistent across the web, manage reviews regularly and add pages to your site that describe your service area. The aim is to be one of the handful of businesses that stand out in map results.

ADVANCED PACKAGE

£690 · €790

Per month; includes local and regional SEO and Google Business Profile. Minimum 3 months.

What is local SEO?
Work that gets your business seen on Google Maps and in regional searches.

How much?
Basic local SEO is in the Starter package at £390 · €450/month; local and regional scope is in the Advanced package at £690 · €790/month.

WHAT WE DO

Scope of local SEO.

Map results and organic results follow different rules; local SEO tackles both together.

  1. 01

    Google Business Profile

The right primary and additional categories, services, opening hours, photos and description. If there is no profile, we create one; if it is registered to someone else, we run the ownership claim process.

    Packages that include Business Profile
  2. 02

    Name, address and phone consistency

Exactly the same details on your site, your Maps listing, directories and social profiles. Inconsistency lowers the trust of both customers and Google.

  3. 03

    Review management

A flow for asking satisfied customers for reviews, and timely replies in your brand voice to every review, including negative ones. We do not commission fake reviews.

  4. 04

    Area and district pages

Pages with genuine information for the areas you serve. Template-copy pages lose value together in Google; on our own site, we build district pages with a similarity check.

  5. 05

    Local structured data

LocalBusiness schema, address, opening hours and an embedded map, so Google correctly matches your business with your site.

  6. 06

    Local sources and directories

Accurate, up-to-date listings in sources such as sector and regional directories, associations and local news sites.

  7. 07

    Tracking and reporting

Searches, direction requests and phone clicks from your Business Profile; changes in map position for target searches.

MULTIPLE LOCATIONS AND INTEGRATIONS

What you add as you grow.

For several locations or channels, we extend the scope as needed; additional items are listed separately in the quote.

MAP RANKINGS

What decides the order on the map: three factors.

Google says it ranks local results by relevance, distance and prominence. Two of the three are directly in your hands.

  1. 01 Control: Yours

    Relevance

Does your profile match what is being searched?

The right primary category, a complete list of services, a description and the relevant page on your website.

  2. 02 Control: Limited

    Distance

How close is the searcher to you?

It cannot be changed, but the address or service area is set correctly, and branches are represented by separate profiles.

  3. 03 Control: Yours

    Prominence

How well known is your business?

Number of reviews and rating, replies to reviews, mentions in local sources and your website’s authority.

AN HONEST MATCH

Who it suits, and when it is not enough?

WHO IT SUITS

  • Clinics, offices, workshops, shops and services operating in a specific area
  • Sectors whose customers search with “near me” or a neighbourhood name
  • Brands with several locations
  • Businesses that have a Maps listing but get no calls or direction requests

WHEN IT IS NOT ENOUGH

  • For businesses with no physical address that sell only online, national SEO takes priority over Maps.
  • Registering with a virtual office or an address that does not reflect reality is against Google’s rules; we do not create such listings.
  • Buying reviews or commissioning fake ones carries a risk of lasting penalties; we do not go down that road.

PROCESS

How do we work?

  1. 01

    Profile and competitor analysis

We work out who stands out in map results and why, and what your profile is missing.

  2. 02

    Setup and fixes

We rework your Business Profile, from its categories to its photos.

  3. 03

    Consistency

We align your name, address and phone details across your site, directories and social profiles.

  4. 04

    Reviews and content

We start the review flow and prepare area pages and profile posts.

  5. 05

    Reporting

We report searches, direction requests and phone clicks every month.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Ask a question →

How do you list a business on Google Maps?

In Google Business Profile, you enter the business name, category, address or service area and contact details, then verify using the method Google asks for (phone, email or video). After verification, you complete opening hours, services, photos and the description. The listing alone does not bring rankings; the real work starts afterwards.

How do you rank higher on Google Maps?

Google states that it ranks local results on three factors: relevance (how well your profile and site match the search), distance (the searcher’s location) and prominence (reviews, links and how well known the business is). You cannot change distance; you increase relevance and prominence with the right category, a complete profile, regular reviews, consistent details and a strong website.

Is a Google Maps listing paid?

No, Google Business Profile is free. Beware of people who call “on behalf of Google” and ask for a fee for listing or verification. What you pay an agency is not for the listing itself but for the service of managing the profile and improving rankings.

Can I create a Maps listing without a physical address?

Service-area businesses that go to their customers (such as plumbing, removals or repair services) can create a profile by hiding their address and defining a service area. Creating a listing with a virtual office or an address where you are not actually located is against Google’s rules and can lead to the profile being suspended.

How should you reply to negative reviews?

Quickly, calmly and specifically: acknowledge the problem, say what you will do and take the details to a private channel. A good reply to a negative review shows future customers how the business behaves. A review can only be removed if it breaks Google’s rules.

When does local SEO deliver results?

The effect of profile fixes usually starts to show within a few weeks; for competitive searches, map position and the build-up of reviews settle over months. We write the timeline after the initial analysis, based on competition in your area and your starting point.

What do you do for a business with several locations?

Each location gets its own Business Profile and its own page on the site; details are managed from one place and reporting is done by location. That way, each location competes in searches in its own area.
