A new bilingual site for a paper cup manufacturer, and an assistant that knows it
We rebuilt Damla Cup's WordPress site from scratch on the Mars CMS platform: 171 pages in Turkish and English, with PageSpeed Insights performance of 99 on mobile and 100 on desktop. Tuğba, an AI assistant that reads the entire site, answers product questions and records quote requests in the admin panel.

Index 03 / 29
Damla Cup is a factory producing paper cups, soup containers and food packaging; its buyers are cafés, restaurants and corporate wholesale customers. Its previous site ran on WordPress and Elementor and loaded slowly on phones: the largest content on the page took 8.6 seconds to render on mobile.
The new site has 171 pages in Turkish and English, with each of the 30 products on its own page. On PageSpeed Insights, mobile performance rose from 37 to 99 and desktop from 89 to 100. The old site’s 128 addresses were mapped one by one, and the measurement and ad codes were carried over; on the day the domain changed, both the addresses search engines knew and the conversion codes were in place.
The most distinctive feature of the new site, however, is Tuğba. Based on Damla Cup’s own content, this AI assistant answers questions on products, sizes, printing and certificates at any hour of the day; she takes quote requests within the chat and records them in the admin panel together with the conversation transcript. The sales team starts the conversation not from scratch but knowing what the customer asked.
We documented Tuğba’s first 24 days live on a separate page: 25 conversations and 13 enquiries; what visitors asked, at what time and in which language.
BEFORE / AFTER
Same address, new site.
Both screens give the same message: cups custom-printed for your company. The invisible difference is behind the scenes: the old home page loaded 44 external scripts and 45 stylesheets, while the new one has 2 scripts and a single stylesheet.
APPROACH
Built step by step.
The work progressed under five headings, all serving a single question: when a buyer looking for paper cups visits the site, can they find what they need and request a quote?
-
PHASE 01
Platform and speed
The site was rebuilt with Astro on Mars Creative's content platform: every page is prepared before publication and reaches the visitor as a ready-made file. Products, news and blog posts are managed from the admin panel; every publication rebuilds the site automatically. Speed was measured and settled before launch: measurement tags load after the page has loaded, and the typeface is served from the site itself.
-
PHASE 02
Tuğba — an AI assistant that knows the site
Tuğba answers by reading the site's 170 pages in Turkish and English. For questions on sizes, wall type, printing and certificates, she relies on the information on the site; rather than giving information that is not on the site (such as prices), she passes the request to the sales team. She takes quote requests within the chat, and the request lands in the admin panel together with the conversation transcript. She greets visitors who stay on a page for a while with 'Do you have a question?', and remembers the previous conversation of a visitor returning from the same device. The window states clearly that it is a digital assistant; the team manages the assistant's red lines and its answers to objections from the admin panel.
-
PHASE 03
Catalogue and quote flow
Each of the 30 products has its own page: 4–22 oz paper cups, double wall models, cold drink and PET cups, soup containers, salad bowls and accessories. There are no public prices; in line with how B2B buyers work, every product has a 'Get a quote for this product' button and a WhatsApp button. On mobile, the tab bar at the bottom of the screen keeps Products, References, Search, Request a Quote and Chat one tap away.
-
PHASE 04
Trust layer
A B2B buyer's first question is 'who am I working with?'. A 4.8 rating on Google with more than 90 reviews; more than 50 client logos including Turkish Airlines, Pepsi and illy; an FSC® and BRCGS certificate strip; a production film hosted on the site; and a 'News from Us' section covering the 15 trade fairs attended since 2022 answer this question without leaving the page.
-
PHASE 05
Two languages and a lossless migration
86 pages in Turkish and 85 in English; each language at its own localised address, with page pairs linked through hreflang. The old site's 128 addresses were mapped one by one: 114 go to their new counterparts with permanent redirects, 13 continue to live at the same address, and the last was a machine file from an old plugin and was closed deliberately. The GA4, Google Ads and Tag Manager codes were carried over; on the day the domain moved, measurement and ad conversion codes were working on the new site.
