Ask a question → Will my Google rankings drop when I redesign my site?
In a properly run redesign, a lasting drop is not expected. Before launch we map your current rankings and URLs, build a one-to-one 301 redirect map and migrate content and schema in full. After the move we monitor Search Console and quickly fix any fluctuations. Managing that risk is exactly what a redesign is about.
What happens to my old URLs and content?
Every address that carries value is either kept or permanently (301) redirected to its new counterpart; technical addresses that no longer serve a purpose (for example files from an old plugin) are deliberately closed. Content, meta titles and structured data (schema) are moved to the new site. In the Damla Cup redesign, the old site’s addresses were mapped one by one this way.
Can I move from WordPress to a faster, static platform?
Yes — it is one of the migrations we do most often. Instead of a setup bloated with heavy plugins, we build a fast-loading static site with Astro and integrate a headless CMS for content management. If you prefer to stay on WordPress, we can also move you to a properly built, optimised premium WordPress — either way, ease of management is kept and performance and security improve.
Should I redesign or start from scratch?
It depends. If the brand and content are still solid but the platform or design is dated, a redesign is the most efficient route. If positioning, content architecture and the technical foundation need to change at the root, building from scratch may be the better choice.
